A MAZE. / Berlin 2017

Julien Deblois aka Debmaster felt in the music industry by mistake. He was nothing else than a countryside video games player in the 90's (and drumer in a grind death metal band). Installing random software was also his hobby. He randomly made electronic music with some of them, uploaded randomly a folder with his video games player nick name (Debmaster) on soulseek and from here every started. A guy downloaded this secret folder, he was the boss of Egotwister (the best french diy label for sure). This label advised 2 young guys to release Debmaster on a new label, Hip Notik Records in 2005. These two guys were hyperactive young students (and golf players). Thanks to them, Debmaster had the opportunity to make a rap album in 2006 with the best mcs of the west coast universe (subtitle, existereo, inoe oner, curse ov dialect, bleubird). 1 year later he was on tour with theses super rappers. He has no choice, he has to be good and follow the train of dopeness.

After this "french" period, he moved in Berlin where he had the time to know more about himself. His music transformed in something larger than "beat for rap". He is now a 33 year old "experienced berliner producer" who plays wild electronic music between slow rap to footwork to 8bit & punk noisy synths. After 6 albums and eps (last one with Dj Die Soon), remixes (Patric Catani, Blackbird, ), productions (Thavius Beck, Riddlore) he still doesn't understand where he is going but he is going stronger with more new projects, new collaborations and new shows.
