NSDOS is Kirikoo Des, a hybrid French artist from Paris who works with dance, music and digital art. He is involved in a web of various musical expressions with different kinds of artists and collaborators. Recently Kirikoo started shaping his unique performance style by mixing Butoh-dance with his own electronic music composition.
Driven by music-oriented hacking and “DIY” spirit, NSDOS has now developed into a groundbreaking live show where improvisation through sound is at the forefront. His use of a savant mixture of analog and numeric instruments is unique.
NSDOS released his first EP “Lazer Connect” in December 2013 on the record label Clekclekboom Recordings.His second EP « Female Guest List », also on Clekclekboom, released in june 2015, has been very well welcome by the electronic music scene.
He created an interactive live show called « Clubbing Sequence ». Collecting data with 3D cameras, clubbers send position tracking informations to the digital artists, live, who will then translate the information into sound and video. By affecting these 2 crucial elements, clubbers will individually and collectively affect the entire show.This is what he called the « smart club ». The first show was on May the 23rd 2015 at La Gaité Lyrique in Paris (Paris hot spot for digital art). It will travel worldwide in 2016.
His unique talent has been witnessed by crowds all over Europe when he recently played at places like Fabric in London, Panorama Bar/Berghain in Berlin, Studio 80 in Amsterdam, Concrete, Rex Club and La Machine du Moulin Rouge in Paris, Iboat in Bordeaux, Le Sucre in Lyon, Copenhaguen, Toulouse, NYC, etc..
